A Sweet Touch from Our Culinary Program Students: Pastry and Chocolate Training Was Conducted

Our Vocational School's Hotel, Restaurant and Catering Services Department Culinary Program students came together at the "Pastry and Chocolate Training" event organized to support their professional development. This special training, held on April 15, 2026, offered future chef candidates the opportunity to experience the intricacies of the industry.
Under the coordination of Department Head Lecturer Muhammed HAYKIR, students engaged in intensive work on boutique chocolate making, various bread types prepared with different techniques, bakery products, and ice cream production. In the training where theoretical knowledge was transformed into practice, students tasted the products they prepared and made evaluations both technically and in terms of flavor.
At the end of the training, certificates of appreciation were presented to the kitchen chefs who shared their unique experiences and inspiring perspectives with the students. We extend our thanks to the trainer chefs Hüsnü Ataman, Duygu Erkuş, Eren Aykaç, Ezgi Tekşan Cebir, and Öner Öğmen for their valuable contributions to the event; and to Tunahan Say for his contributions to the organization.
This meaningful event, which took place in an educational and delicious atmosphere, allowed students to meet with industry representatives and experience professional kitchen culture on-site. Our Vocational School continues to conduct such practical training aimed at enhancing our students' sectoral skills in the upcoming periods.
